Sport-in-a-box
Un sentiment d'appartenance

SPORT-IN-A-BOX

(Veuillez noter que la version française de ce texte sera bientôt disponible)

Thinking:

Young Canadians will be asked to think about the universality of sport and physical activity.  What is the importance of sport and physical activity in terms of their everyday lives and communities?  What is the importance of sport and physical activity in a global context?

Acting:

Through a series of fun and physically charged activities, youth will be engaged and inspired to define what sport and physical activity means to them.  The culmination of these activities will result in the creation of a community box that will include items that represent a healthy and active life.

Sharing:

Youth will be asked to share their own socially and culturally diverse ideas on sport and physical activity.  In expanding on the theme of sharing, each community box will be physically exchanged with another identified ‘twinned’ community.

In thinking, acting and sharing through the Sport-in-a-Box process, youth will become aware of social issues including: health, poverty, education, environment, equality, inclusion, and global partnership.  These issues are not just about sport, they are issues that affect us all.
